Die Schuldigen sind schnell gefunden: Jess and the Ancient Ones, ein okkultes Septett aus Kuopio! Zutaten dieses unheiligen Rituals: drei(!) Gitarren und eine heiße Diva Satanica an den Vocals. Ein Blick auf die Tracklist ("13th Breath of Zodiac", "Twilight Witchcraft", "Prayer For Death and Fire", etc.) lässt mutmaßen - es könnte eine verdammt schmutzige Orgie werden! Seine Inspiration zieht der siebenköpfige Drache aus der klassischen Ära des (Proto)-Metals, des Monster- und Hard-Rocks. Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden, Roky Erickson und natürlich: Coven! Für ordentlich Feuer unter dem Hexenkessel sorgen galoppierende Rhythmen, eine dämonische Orgel, diabolische Twin Lead-Attacken, etwas late-70s Heart-Feeling, und während das abschließende "Crimson Glory Death" noch als schmachtende Herz-Schmerz-Piano-Ballade beginnt, die klingt als sei sie im Los Angeles des Jahres 1987 entstanden (I´m a sucker for ballads!), endet dieser 11-minütige Husarenritt als psychedelisches Hohelied an den Gehörnten.
